About this event
Anandodhara’s journey began with this musical evening of Bengali modern songs on the 1st of March, 1997 in Sydney, Australia. The event featured local artists Abhijit Sarkar, Gargi Mukherjee and Ajoy Ghosh among others. Baroot Girls’ High School hall was choc-a-bloc till the last minute and there were more than one requests for an encore from the artists. The Stream of Joy thus manifested under the able leadership of Srimanta Mukherjee, who singlehandedly managed the event with a modest team of art enthusiasts and made an indelible impression on the minds of the audience.
