About this event
The event was organized at Ashfield Town Hall to celebrate the genius of Siajul Salekin from Bangladesh who had by then already enchanted audiences with his golden voice at the Salil Chowdhury Nite. On the 5th of June, 1999, Salekin took to the stage with a bouquet of songs by Rabindranath Tagore followed by Bengali modern songs in the second half alongside a skit by Sharmila and Shitish Roy. The magic of Salekin’s voice transported the audience to the golden era of art and entertainment.
